musiciens avec notamment les 2 frères RUSSEL ( Steve et Barrie : piano / vocal
et batterie/vocal). 12 titres sur ce CD et encore une fois essentiellement des
reprises superbes ! Mes préférés : « Smile »,
« Catacombe Rock »( composé par le batteur Barrie RUSSEL),
« Queen of the Hop », « Charming Billy » et une version magistrale du classique « Seven
Nights to Rock ».

Le groupe hollandais ACES AGAIN : CD 2010 “Back in Time” (auto
produit): ces 4 musiciens ne sont pas tatoués et n’ont pas la “banane”, en un
mot ils n’ont pas le look rock’n’roll….et pourtant….Ce sont des musiciens
exceptionnels : excellente guitare au son très Shadows et le vocal est
toujours impeccable. Que des reprises sur ce CD et à chaque fois
superbes : écoutez la version de « Rockabilly Rebel », de
« Blue Jean Bop », l’instrumental « Walk don’t Run » ou le
superbe slow « Young and Beautiful »…..la grande classe !

ACES AGAIN: CD in 2010 "Back in Time" (self-produced): these four
musicians are not tattooed and do not have the "ducktail", so they do
not have the look rock'n'roll and yet… These are exceptional musicians: very
good guitar sound like Shadows and the vocal is always impeccable. Only covers on this CD and all the time
superb: listen the version of
"Rockabilly Rebel", "Blue Jean Bop", the instrumental
"Walk don’t Run" or the superb slow "Young and Beautiful"…
the class!

Jimmi ACCARDI and the Wild Cats : CD « Rockin’ and Jumpin’ »(2007) sur le label américain Molehill records. 12 titres sur ce CD tous composés par Jimmi ACCARDI chanteur, guitariste et pianiste californien. Si vous aimez le rock/R’n’Blues/jive des 50’s ce disque vous plaira…A noter les superbes : « Promises of Love », « Suffer », le slow-rock louisianais « the Price of Love » et le rock/jump « Cadillac Coupe de Ville ».

Molehill records. 12 tracks on this CD, all composed by Jimmi ACCARDI singer,
guitarist and pianist from California. If you like rock / R'n’Blues / jive of
50's, this disc will enjoy you ... Note: "Promises of Love",
"Suffer", the slow-rock Louisiana "the Price of Love" and
the rock / jump "Cadillac Coupe de Ville."

« Last Fool Here » (label Shower Tone en 2005) chanteur et guitariste
originaire de Washington DC. Très inspiré par Buddy Holly. 12 titres très rock et honky tonk
et des belles compositions perso (comme « My Dawn Baby ») et aussi
des reprises superbes comme «That Ain’t Nothin but Right» chanté dans les 50’s
par Mac Curtis, ou le « Cry, Cry, Cry » de Johnny Cash et
« Sixteen Chicks ».
JP Mc Dermott & Western Bop - CD "Last Fool Here" (label Shower Tone in 2005) singer and guitarist from Washington DC. consacré exclusivement aux chansons presque oubliées de Buddy Holly sans
chercher à l’imiter vocalement, c’est bien joué et bien fait par un musicien
qui connait son sujet. A noter les belles versions de
« I’m Gonna Set my Foot Down », « It’s too late », “Modern
Don Juan” et “Lonesome Tears”.
