des super versions de “Rains”, “Honky Tonk Hardwood Floor”, “Mean Mistreater” ,
“Move Around” ou “One Hand Loose”….C’est bien joué , bien chanté avec en plus
une belle guitare tenue par Mark.

composition, but covers made with great versions of “Rains”, “Honky Tonk
Hardwood Floor”, “Mean Mistreater”, “Move Around” or “One Hand Loose”. It is
played well, sung well with more a beautiful guitar held by Mark.

MIDNIGHT HOWLERS : «Cocktails’n’cowboys Hat » (CD 2006). Groupe
anglais composé de 3 musiciens : Keef Hummerston( batterie), Nev Crozier
(guitares et saxophone) et Sye King(basse , accordéon,piano,steel.. Sur ce
CD,12 titres et seulement 4 reprises : « I’m Coming Home »,
« Early Morning Rain »( un de mes titres préférés sur cet album),
« Blue Moon » (des Marcels) ou « Copperhead Road ».Des bons
musiciens avec de temps en temps une superbe steel (comme dans « Do You
Ever »), et le son est résolument honky tonk/rock.

MIDNIGHT HOWLERS : « Cocktails’n’cowboys Hat » (CD in 2006).
English group composed by 3 musicians : Keef Hummerston (drums), Nev Crozier
(guitars and saxophone) and Sye King (bass, accordion, piano, steel…) On this
CD 12 tracks only 4 covers : “I’m Coming Home”,” Early Morning Rain” (one of my
favourite tracks ), “Blue Moon” (by the group Marcels) or “Copperhead Road”.
Very good musicians, from time to time a great steel guitars (like the tracks
“Do you Ever”), the sound is really honky tonk/rock.
The MIDNIGHT HOWLERS : CD « All Fired
Up »(2008) enregistré en public en Mai 2007 au Railway Club. Un peu différent du CD précédent parce
qu’on y retrouve le groupe face à un public de 250 personnes avec toute
l’énergie d’un très bon concert ou tout le monde s’est bien éclaté. Parmi
mes morceaux préférés : « In
the Jailhouse », « No Particular Place » , « I Hear you
Knocking », ou « Ghost Rawhidders »( très inspiré par le” Ghost
Ridders in the Sky »).
The MIDNIGHT HOWLERS : CD 2008 : “All Fired Up”
(recorded live on May 2007 at the Railway club). A little bit different from
the previous CD because we find the group in front of a public of 250 people
with all the energy of a good concert
which people had a blast. Amoung my favourite
tracks : “In the Jailhouse”, “No Particular Place”, “I hear you Knocking”
or “Ghost Rawhidders” (inspired by “Ghost Ridders in the Sky”).
En
décembre il faut toujours si possible un album de musiques de Noel….je vous
propose cette année le superbe groupe anglais “GOOD ROCKIN’ TONIGHT” emmené par
Mark Keeley( guitar et chant) . CD
« Under the Mistletoe » : 12 titres très dansants et quelques
compos superbes comme : « I’m your Santa », « Merry
Christmas Baby Tonight » avec la belle
guitare de John O’Malley et la reprise très dansante de «Rockin’ Around
the Christmas Tree». A noter aussi la très belle version de «I’ll Be Home this
Christmas (slow doo-wop).

In December there is always a Christmas album...I proposed you this year a superb english group "GOOD ROCKIN' TONIGHT" led by Mark Keeley (guitar and vocal). CD "Under the Mistletoe" : 12 tracks very dance and some superb compositions as : "I' m your Santa", "Merry Christmas Baby Tonight" with the beautiful guitar of John O' Malley and the very dance cover of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". To note also the very beautiful version of "I' ll Be Home this Christmas" (doo-wop slow dance). Nice CD cover with very sexy "Mother Noël"!!!
GOOD ROCKIN’ TONIGHT : « Save the Last Dance
for Me » ( mini CD 5 titres). Sur ce CD que des reprises de grande qualité : des rock-boogies
comme “Hollywood Cats” ou la très belle version de « Save the last dance for
me ». Encore une fois on retrouve la très grande qualité musicale du
groupe …et ça fait merveille ….

The BOPPIN’SHOES : CD « Back to
Rock’n’Roll » ( auto-produit). Groupe italien et encore une fois se sont des musiciens
exceptionnels. 16 titres (+1 caché) uniquement des reprises de grands
classiques du rock (et notamment d’Elvis), et encore une fois c’est très bien
fait. Superbes versions de « Wonderfull World »,
« The House is Rocking », «Rock this Town », « Shake
Rattle and Roll »ou « Return to Sender” avec le superbe vocal de
Stevan BRANCH. Grâce à
leur pianiste Francesca PARATICI on a droit à une reprise exceptionnelle du
classique de Jerry Lee LEWIS « Great Balls of Fire » !!!!! C’est
une découverte géniale et une exclusivité sur les ondes de Memphis Tennessee.

(self-produced). Italian group and once again exceptional musicians. 16 tracks
(1 phantom tracks) only covers of great classics of the rock (in particular
Elvis), and once again it’s very well. Superb version of “Wonderfull World”,
“The House is Rocking”, “Rock this Town”, “Shake Rattle and Roll” or “Return to
Sender” with the superb vocal of Stevan BRANCH. Thanks to their pianist
Francesca PARATICI, we have a great cover of the classic of Jerry Lee LEWIS
“Great Balls of Fire”.!!!!! It is brilliant discovery and an exclusivity on the
air of Memphis Tennessee.

ce groupe américain emmené par la chanteuse et pianiste Cynthia LYON. Des

me Rockin » et « Demon Run » composés par Cynthia LYON ou des
belles reprises de « Reet Petite » ou « Sing, Sing,Sing » (

exceptionnels !!! C’est aussi un album de reprises mais c’est superbe! Ca
commence fort avec
la version rock de « Big River » de Johnny CASH et ça continue avec
« Three Days » de Willie NELSON ou « Sleepless Night » pour
finir en western swing avec « What you see is what you get ».
FRANK JENNINGS : « Yesterday,Today and
Tomorrow » ( CD 2011), thanks to Country Hot Disc. The album is rock and
country and the musicians are exceptional. It is also an album with superb
covers. That begins hardly with the rock version of “Big River” of Johnny CASH
and that continues with “Three Days” of Willie NELSON or “Sleepless Night” to
finish with western swing with “What you see is what you get”.
